| Dogs Playing |

| Well I figured it was time to catch everyone up to speed on what has been going on in our kennel! Well first off I want to say our new addition Kotka is fitting in and we just can't wait to see what this little girl can do this fall! She is a very sweet girl. Next is we bought a new dog truck and have been working on that. It's coming just very slow! We are going to insulated aluminum, with a pretty blue dog truck. Can't wait to see the finished project! I got this image in my head, and hopefully it comes out just as good or better. My boyfriend Mark, and I are the ones building it, so lets hope we know what we are doing! We have been doing the usual still giving all the dogs a bath each this summer. So far we have done 11, we just have 5 left. No pictures of them yet! But I do have the battle wounds to prove it, where some don't like it. I try to pick a hot day to do it on so they don't mind it as bad! Most of them love it though, there is just a few that would rather not get wet! The two pups Cree, and Phoenix are growing up very nicely, and I think both of them are going to be phenomenal in harness this year. Just can't wait until fall to check them out! Also this summer we have been quite busy doing dog obedience training. Just the basics stuff right now, we will see how that responds before we make to much of a commitment to go further! But I do have to say it is quite fun watching the dogs doing it and finally when they get it how well they respond. Something fun to do in the summer to keep us busy, where we have no puppies this year to do that! We also opened up a Sponsor page too, we have decided that we are going to try and get some sponsorships to help us reach our big goals. Right now they seem so far away, but I have a feeling in a few more years they will be nearly reachable! Or so I can only hope! We have quite a few races in the agenda and are hoping to add more so it's going to be a very interesting season! Well thats it for now, until I have photos of the dog truck, or fall training starts. Stay tuned! ~Fort Illio Kennels~ |
