The Stratford Night Hawks race was a very good learning experience for my three dogs
that have never been to a race before. (Aryan, Kaleeta, and Blazer) These 3 dogs did a
great job for their first race, Aryan and Kaleeta even ran lead both days! This race was
a very good experience for us all and we had a blasts. The trail was a very nice trail, it
had a lot of running in the woods, which is what I like. There was a lot of head on passing
which Kaleeta and Aryan are not used to, but they did very good! Than we had to go
through a tunnel, the dogs have never done this before. It was funny because we come
flying into it and than once it got dark around Aryan he stopped and the rest of the team
kept going, and than Aryan saw the light at the end of the tunnel and shot through it like
a rocket! He was a little leary of what it was all about, but the second day he had it down
packed! Overall the race was a very fun weekend, and a great learning experience for us
all! We will be going back next year, with hoping to do the two 30's or 40 milers!
