This was by far one of the bests trips we have ever been
on! We went with our friends Joan Farnham, and Tara
Lemieux, and her husband Mike and her handler Ray. As
well as our friend Becki Tucker and her husband Kevin.
What a blasts! We got up there on Thursday night and
unpacked and did dog chores, and than went to the
restaurant across the yard and had supper and laughs.
Friday was the drivers meeting and vet checks, we were
lucky to get our vet checks done on Friday where they
usually wait to do them on Saturday morning. Saturday
morning finally came and their was people everywhere!
The crew checked bags, and before I knew it we were
running down main street! Wow that was a very neat
thing! Of course I didn't really have time to enjoy it
where my stomach was in knots hoping that my team
wouldn't freak out, they didn't, thanks to Kody Kid! The
trail was full of huge uphills! Very challenging. The lasts
four miles was a drag for us, thats when my team was
starting to get tired, and my encouragement wasn't
working, the team was looking at me like I had 4 eyes.
But finally we came to the finish line after many hills
later! The dogs came in strong and it was a great run!
Heck Aryan wanted to go again! We came in 22 out of 30
teams, not bad for our first Can Am 30. I was very proud
of my dogs and how well they did! That night we were all
tired and we just went and had a huge supper and a few
drinks and a lots of laughs! I have to say that this trip
would not have been the same without the whole crew
that we went with! So I would like to take the time to
thank them, Joan Farnham, Mike & Tara Lemiuex, Ray ?,
Kevin and Becki Tucker thanks a lot guys for all the good
laughs! And thanks mom for everything you do for me!
This trip wouldn't have been the same without you guys!
