| FOR SALE by STAR SIBERIANS: Best sled I've ever owned & ridden in decades of mushing.. this belly glide is good for every use you can put it to... training, flat out flying at top speeds on ice OR in soft snow, even giving passengers a thrilling ride... it's especially desirable in soft going. Bed is 5' of quite new black UV resistant plastic, runner tails are 39", has Runyon style brush bow, high handle bow, & 2"w runners. This sled was custom made for me (I'm a 5' 8" woman who weighs 140#) by Custom Wood Services (Snail Dog Sled Dogs) in upstate New York in 1996 and never once dissappointed me. It's stable, with great flotation, even has some flex. I asked the builder for a "stump jumper" but got far more. Comes with good bar brake and big drag pad. It's quite heavy, but I often used it comfortably for up to 20 mile mountain runs, with only a 4-dog team.. it glides that easy. $250.00 is rock bottom price. NOTE: I have a 2nd belly glide, identical to this one & in just as good condition, but smaller. Same price. |
